MATCH PREVIEW / Herne Bay : 1st February 2022
Margate will look to bounce back quickly from Saturday’s 4-0 loss at Enfield Town as they welcome a Herne Bay side that comes into the fixture also on the back of a loss after being beaten by local rivals Ramsgate at Southwood Stadium on Saturday.
Manager Jay Saunders could use this competition to give further experiences to Margate U23 talents and Academy players, however will be aware that victory tonight will see his side progress to the 4th Round of the competition.
Herne Bay last visited Hartsdown Park in 2019 for a pre-season friendly, however you have to go back to September 2017 for the last competitive fixture between the two sides as Margate knocked the Bay out of the FA Cup 2-0.
Tickets for this match are half price and can still be purchased on-line until 5pm or alternatively can be purchased at the turnstiles via cash or card which open at 6:30pm.
