Billericay Town (H) - 2nd December 2022

Margate welcome Billericay Town on Friday night to Hartsdown Park looking to make it seven games unbeaten in all competitions, as they meet in an Isthmian Premier Division fixture.

The Blues continued their fine form last Saturday with a hard fought draw against high flying Bishop’s Stortford at the R & D Advisors UK Stadium. Korrey Henry set one up, and scored one himself as the Blues earned their first point at Stortford since 2016.

Meanwhile, Billericay Town arrive at Hartsdown Park on the back of a 2-0 away defeat at Carshalton Athletic on Monday evening. They find themselves in a run of mixed form with just four wins from their last nine games in all competitions.

The Town squad will include some familiar faces in their squad to Margate fans as former Midfielder Montel Agymang and former striker John Ufuah now reside in Essex.

Manager Andy Drury will be able to call upon new loan striker David Smith who joined the Blues on Thursday afternoon from National League side Bromley, however there will no action for influential midfielder Ade Cole who starts the first of his three match suspension after seeing red in the Blues Velocity Trophy win over Folkestone last Tuesday evening. Winger Troy Howard remains side-lined with an ongoing ankle injury.

These two sides have already met once this season in the Isuzu FA Trophy where Billericay came out 2-0 winners at New Lodge, however due to Town’s recent success and a pause for the COVID Pandemic this will be the first meeting at Hartsdown Park since April 2018 when the away side won 2-1.

Kick-off at Hartsdown Park is 7:45pm, but as always if you can’t join us then you can stay up to date on the clubs official Twitter @margate_fc from 7:30pm.
