Colin Reid Joins As Assistant Manager

Margate Football Club are delighted to announce the appointment of vastly experienced football coach Colin Reid as Assistant Manager to Mark Stimson.

Reid has a wealth of knowledge over the years, and his CV includes roles as Academy Manager/Coach at West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur where has worked with players such as Scott Parker and Mark Noble.

As well as his time at Spurs and West Ham, Reid has been involved at Charlton Athletic and Millwall. Reid has also had stints as Assistant Manager at Bishops Stortford and Macclesfield, and was also coach at Maidstone United in 2017.

Most recently, Reid has delivered coaching sessions to the Poland National side, and worked once again with Maidstone with George Elokobi.

The UEFA ‘A’ Licence coach still also delivers coaching courses for the Football Association, for who he has over 30 years’ experience.

Manager Mark Stimson was delighted to be able to add Reid to his coaching team.

“Colin’s CV speaks for itself. I worked with him at Stevenage and he is a great coach who has incredible knowledge, and some great contacts.”

“We are both really looking forward to Saturday and getting stuck in to the task in hand.”

Reid will join Stimson in the dugout as we face Carshalton Athletic at Hartsdown Park on Saturday.
