Prestedge And Greenhalgh Appointed For 2023/24 Season
Margate Football Club are delighted to confirm the appointment of Reece Prestedge as first team manager for the forthcoming 2023/24 season.
Prestedge will be assisted by current assistant manager Ben Greenhalgh as well as first team coach Elliot Leveson.
Prestedge and Greenhalgh took charge after the departure of Andy Drury in December and ensured the Club retained its position in the Isthmian Premier Division for the 2023/24 season with impressive wins over Hornchurch, Wingate & Finchley and Kingstonian, while also talking points away from home against Hastings United and Enfield Town, as well as guiding the Blues through to the DFDS Kent Senior Cup semi-finals, where we will face Ramsgate on Tuesday 18th April at Hartsdown Park.
Margate Director Dan Winsbury said following the appointment; “Reece and Ben deserve this chance to manage this football Club long term”.
“They have both worked tirelessly to ensure we stay in this division, which we have now achieved. They have also improved the dressing room atmosphere and shown competence in their recruitment so far.”
“We as a Board of Directors look forward to seeing them progress the club further and us continuing to improve both on and off the pitch”.
A full interview with both Reece and Ben will be available to hear online soon.
