Perkins Signs On Dual Reg Basis
By Josh Cole
Margate FC are delighted to announce the capture of centre-back, Teddy Perkins, on a dual registration basis from Welling United!
The 24-year-old bounced around the academies of Leyton Orient, Burnley and Watford before he joined Chipstead in July of 2021.
He then moved to Welling in August of the same season and to Tonbridge in March. Three more moves for Perkins in 22/23 as he played for Canvey Island and Concord Rangers before playing the rest of the season with Chipstead.
At the start of this campaign, he featured for Cray Valley where he impressed to jump to the National League South and his 2nd spell with Welling on February 7th. He was put straight into the starting line-up for their clash with Charlton Athletic in the London Senior Cup.
Mark Stimson is pleased to have captured Teddy’s signature on a dual reg basis. “Teddy will help us tremendously at the back as we reach the backend of the season.”
Teddy is available to play in today's crunch match against Cheshunt!
We can also confirm the departures of right-back Ellis Ashworth, and midfielder Taner Dogan as they search for regular game time.
Ashworth became a blue on the 21st December and started all six games he featured in. Taner, on the other hand, signed just a day later but didn’t feature regularly in the starting eleven.
We wish both players well as they embark on their next journey.
