McDonalds Fun Day This Saturday
It’s a rather special match day at Hartsdown Park this Saturday afternoon.
Besides the return of legend Jay Saunders, who returns to the club to manage his first game in the Margate dugout, it is also our third McDonalds Family Fun Day of the season.
Thanks to support from McDonalds’ local Westwood, Margate and Minister branches, the club is able to commit to providing more on match days to encourage members of the local community to enjoy a day out at their local non-league club.
Besides the headline event – Margate versus Brightlingsea Regent in the Bostik Premier League at 3pm – match day activities will begin much earlier at 12pm.
Enjoy two games for the price of one as Margate Sports are in action taking on East Kent County League Division Three side Sturry in a friendly.
Come and support the team including former player Lee Shearer who will be playing for Sports. Margate fans will need no introduction to Lee who enjoyed a successful chapter of his career in a Blues shirt.
Tickets are also still available for the club’s collaboration with Margate Supper. Season Ticket Holders can upgrade their ticket for £15 whilst supporters can purchase a spot for £25.
These special tickets include your match day entry, a three-course meal and complimentary pint or glass of wine upon arrival. A complete bargain of an offer, email contact@margatesupper.co.uk or click here to get yours.
Please note these tickets must be purchased in advance and can not be bought on the day.
Our food and beverage outlets will also be serving some specials to enjoy as soon as the turnstiles open…
• Chilli and nachos cheese £3.50
• Margate Lager Draft IPA £3.00
• Small bottle of wine £3.00
Included in the day, we look forward to welcoming the new Chair of Margate Supporters Club, Malcom Sherry to present our Trophies and Gifts Player of the Month Award for January to defender Ben Swift. Malcolm and club sponsor Graham Johnson will be on hand to make the presentation to Swift before kick-off.
Margate Youth Under 7s will also be in attendance assisting the first team as ball boys whilst Under 16s are invited to take part in our half-time penalty shoot-out competition. Spaces will be given on a first come, first served basis via the Club Shop with the winner receiving a signed match day magazine.
Tickets for Saturday’s match can be purchased in advance via our club website by clicking here.
Turn stiles will also be open for those who’d rather pay with cash on the day also.
So, make sure you pencil us in for the day this Saturday 16 February at Hartsdown Park, we look forward to seeing you then!
