Sheppey United (H) - 15th November 2022

Margate will look to reach the quarter-finals of the Kent Senior Cup on Tuesday night as they face Sheppey United at Hartsdown Park.

The Blues head into this game in fine form after winning three in a row after Saturday’s last gasp win away at Wingate & Finchley in the Isthmian Premier League. A Harry Hudson double, including a 94th minute strike earned the Blues the three points which lifted them to 13th in the division.

Tuesday night’s visitors Sheppey United are also unbeaten in their last three games after a 1-0 win on Saturday in the Isthmian South-east division. The win moved them up to 11th in the South-east division.

Margate overcome Faversham Town 5-0 away from home to reach the third round, whilst Sheppey have already beaten Isthmian Premier Division competition to reach the third round after overcoming Cray Wanderers 1-0 in the previous round.

Sheppey are currently managed by former AFC Wimbledon striker Jack Midson. The last time these two sides met was a pre-season friendly at Hartsdown Park in July 2021 when Margate ran out 2-1 winners.

Manager Andy Drury will be without defender Harrison Hatfull after he joined an unnamed National League Premier side on trial this week, while James Bessey-Saldanha will also be missing after pulling up with a hamstring injury in North London on Saturday. Longer term absentee’s Troy Howard (ankle) and Korrey Henry (groin) are also likely to still be missing for the Blues.

Kick-off at Hartsdown Park is 7:45pm with half-price entry for all. Please note that due to this fixture being a cup game, no season tickets or youth passes are valid and all supporters must purchase a ticket.

If you can’t be at Hartsdown Park then you can stay right up to date on the clubs official Twitter feed @margate_fc from 7:30pm
