The 31-year-old centre-back started last season with Ashford United but rejoined Margate in October, where he went on to appear 28 times!
Knighty, as he is known around Hartsdown Park, is popular amongst the fanbase after joining the ‘Gate in July of 2021, and he featured 54 times his before he joined Enfield Town in the next season.
Ben Greenhalgh commented on managing to retain Lewis: “Having Lewis back will be very important for us this season. He wants to be part of the project to get us back to where we belong and where we all want to be playing so I’m sure we’ll see that extra fight but also, he’s another, that at this level, should be one of the strongest in the division so I know he will demand those levels to ensure we succeed.”
