Cawley And Daniel Leave Margate
By Josh Cole
We can confirm that striker, Steve Cawley, and midfielder, Kadell Daniel, will be departing the club.
Steve joined in the summer of last season and appeared 47 times throughout our campaign in the Isthmian Premier Division, scoring 20 goals in all competitions.
Kadell arrived in the midst of our relegation battle from Horsham in January and featured 13 times from then until the end of the season.
Ben Greenhalgh said: “Steve was the first number nine over the last few seasons to have a big impact as shown by his goal record. It was always a massive ask when I spoke to him last summer about the amount of travelling he does coming down from Stevenage and I knew once we were relegated it would be too much of an ask for him to be able to stay. He still considered the option as I know he enjoyed his time with us last season however we agreed it would be too much stress on him and his family having to travel over four hours each weekend. Steve is a top guy and I wish him all the best in the future.”
“Kadell was one I was messaging all last season, in the end he came in at a difficult time and it can be hard to make the difference in a side that is fighting for every point, I’m glad to have played with Kadell and I wish him all the best.”
Everyone at the club wishes both players the best of luck in the future and thanks them for their efforts last season.
