Hudson "I am Learning A New Way To Play"

By Josh Cole

Harry Hudson joined the club this Summer as Andy Drury’s fifth signing after the expiration of his contract at Tonbridge Angels.

Hudson, 21, says he has taken to life at Hartsdown Park really well and he is settling in fast.

“Yeah, it's been good, I've really enjoyed it, I feel like the boys have been very welcoming especially Sam Blackman and Ben Greenhalgh, I think they are very good characters in the team and have helped me come into it very quickly”

Hudson says playing under new Manager Andy Drury has been enjoyable, if not different to managers he has played for before. “It’s good to be fair, it’s different, I've never really played this sort of way before apart from when I was a youngster, now I'm getting a bit older I've never really played this way and so far, so good”

The 21-year old came from a very impressive youth set up at West Ham before joining Watford at U18’s level through to U23’s. He was asked how this impressive young career shaped him into the player he is now.

“To be honest with you, I think they’re good (Youth set-ups), but they don’t actually show you the real game until you start going out on loan, playing at U23 level is not really real football if that makes sense, I only started to feel like I was kicking on when I went out on loan (Cray Wanderers) and played in the National League South and there on”.

After receiving the fixtures for the 2022/23 season, the Blues were pitted against Kingstonian at Hartsdown Park on the opening day, and Hudson admits he can’t wait for the first league game, and playing in front of the Blues faithful.

“I can’t wait, that’s what you like to play the Saturday's for, the screaming fans and yeah, I just can’t wait to play”

Harry Hudson is sponsored for the 2022/23 season both Home and Away by Debbie Biggs & Nick Blankley
