PLAYER NEWS / Blackman Latest To Stay At HDP
Combative Midfielder, Blackman made his 100th appearance for the ‘Gate alongside Assistant Manager Ben Greenhalgh during the ‘Gate’s 2-2 draw at home to Lewes in April, a game in which he opened the scoring on the afternoon.
As well as his two stints at Margate, the 27-year-old can also include Leatherhead, Dartford and Concord Rangers where he played at Wembley in the 2020 FA Trophy defeat to Harrogate Town amongst his former clubs.
Manager Reece Prestedge admits that keeping Blackman is a “boost” for the club.
“Sam has shown during his time at Margate what an asset he is to the club. Supporters love his determination and desire to move the club forward on and off the pitch.”
“It is a boost to the club as a whole that Sam is staying with us and we hope as a club we can move forward together.”
