Tooting & Mitcham (H) - 22nd February

Margate welcome Tooting & Mitcham to Hartsdown Park on Tuesday evening as they look to book a spot in the Quarter-Finals of this seasons Velocity Trophy.

This tie was set up on the 1st February as both sides enjoyed wins in Round Three. Margate saw off East Kent rivals Herne Bay 2-1 at Hartsdown Park, whilst Tooting & Mitcham won 3-1 away at Binfield to progress to Round Four.

That was the Blues first game in the competition this season, however Tuesday nights opposition have also overcome Sittingbourne in Round Two.

This will be the first meeting between the two clubs since November 2019 when Tooting & Mitcham humbled the Blues 4-0 at Hartsdown Park in the FA Trophy. Before that, the ‘Gate won both league meetings in the 17/18 season with a 3-2 home win and 3-1 win on the road.

Margate come into this game in fine form having not lost in their last five games, which includes four consecutive clean sheets. Tooting & Mitcham play in the Isthmian South Central Division and currently sit 15th in the current league standings.

Margate will be missing Midfielder Sam Blackman who will serve one of is two match ban after collecting ten yellow cards this season.

Supporters should note that this is a cup fixture, therefore all supporters must purchase a ticket as season tickets and youth passes are not permitted for use.
