Ramsgate (A) - 24th September 2024
By Josh Cole
It’s time for the first Thanet derby of the season as we travel to Ramsgate for the first round of the Kent Senior Cup!
Ticket sales have closed as of Sunday at 10pm and there is no entry without an online ticket so if you haven’t got a ticket, you cannot go.
Last time out our unbeaten start to the season ended at the hands of Ascot United as we exited the FA Trophy in the second qualifying round.
OPPONENTS SEASON SO FAR:
Ramsgate failed to get promotion again last season, so they remain in the Isthmian South-East for another year. They have maximum points from their five league games, winning against AFC Croydon away (0-1), Sittingbourne at home (4-2), Deal Town away (2-4), Hythe Town at home (2-0), and Ashford at home (4-0). They have also beaten Southall (5-0) in the FA Cup preliminary round, Folkestone (3-1) in the FA Cup first qualifying round and Broadbridge Heath (1-0) in the FA Cup second qualifying round. Two wins in the FA Trophy as well, against Sheppey (2-3) and Raynes Park Vale (2-1). In the Velocity Trophy however they have been knocked out in the second round after drawing with Sevenoaks 1-1, they lost on penalties 7-6.
