Parkwood Rangers (A) - 24th September 2023

By David Hansen

Margate are back on the road in the SCEWFL Premier Division as they travel to the Bexley Park and Social Club to take on Parkwood Rangers on Sunday afternoon.

The ‘Gate come into this game on the back of some good form as back-to-back victories in the FA Cup against Maidstone United as well as dispatching of Woodcoombe LFC at Hartsdown Park. Margate will be wanting to carry their form away from home and gain their first three points away from home.

Parkwood Rangers have already played two league games this season, starting with a fantastic comeback victory to turn a 2-0 deficit around at half time into victory and give themselves their first three points. Parkwood Rangers would however taste defeat in their first home league game as they were defeated 2-0 by Maidstone United at Bexley Park.

Margate will be looking towards the playmaking ability of winger Rebecca Niblett as she looks to add to her six assists in three games including picking four of those assists in the FA cup against Maidstone United. Whilst top goal scorer Paige Godden will be looking to add to her tally as she has netted four times in 3 games including scoring two against Woodcoombe last week.

However midfielder Esme Kew-Stroud joins Godden on four goals from three games as she has netted in all three games this season from midfield and will be eager to keep her tally ticking over against Parkwood Rangers.

Kick off for the game will be at 2:00pm and will be played at the Bexley Park and Social Club. We look forward to seeing as many of our supporters cheering the squad on as they look to bring three points back to Hartsdown Park.
