BROADBRIDGE HEATH – THEIR SEASON SO FAR:

The visitors are currently sat in 11th place on 43 points from 33 games. Their 2024/25 campaign started in the FA Cup extra preliminary round when they beat Horley Town 2-1. Their league season started badly, losing 5-0 away at Sittingbourne. Back in FA Cup action, they beat Horsham YMCA 1-3, to set up a tie with Faversham Town in the first qualifying round. They went two losses in two games in the league after losing to Deal but managed to beat Steyning Town for their first three points of the season. The cup form continued as they beat Faversham and Badshot Lea in the FA Cup and FA Trophy first qualifying rounds respectively.

Another win in the league followed, away at East Grinstead, but they then bowed out of the FA Cup second qualifying round. They beat Steyning Town again, this time in the velocity trophy first round, 1-4. However, a big loss saw Broadbridge fall out of the FA trophy after they lost 6-1 away at Flackwell Heath.

After a break from league action, they continued where they left off, beating Lancing 1-0 and Ashford 0-3. Sandwiched in between those league wins was a loss in the Sussex County Cup second round to Whitehawk. Their good league form came to a halt after three consecutive losses and they also lost in the velocity trophy after a penalty shootout against Burgess Hill.

After losing 1-2 against Margate, The Bears went on a good run of only losing twice in their next ten matches, which also consisted of five wins and three draws. However, this spell ended with a loss to title chasing Sittingbourne and then that sparked a five-game winless run, halting the momentum gained before this spell. More inconsistency has stopped Broadbridge from progressing into the top ten as their last six matches saw them win twice, draw three times and lose once.
