As the 2024/25 season draws to a close, the Board of Directors would like to express our immense pride in this year’s campaign for Margate Football Club!
To our players and management team – your commitment, passion, and drive have been outstanding from the first whistle to the last. The football you’ve played, the character you’ve shown, and the unity you’ve built have brought pride back to Hartsdown Park and reminded us all of what this club is capable of achieving.
To fall just short in the playoffs was truly heartbreaking. We shared every emotion with our supporters, and we know how much it meant to each and every one of you. While the result was not what we had hoped for, the performance and effort on display cannot be denied. The team gave everything – and for that, we are incredibly proud.
We would also like to pay special tribute to our supporters. Your loyalty, your voice, and your unwavering belief have pushed the players forward throughout the season. Whether at home or away, your support has been vital, and we are grateful for every one of you who has stood by us.
Looking ahead, our ambition is clear: we want to build on this foundation and push even harder next season. We are determined to compete at the top and challenge for the league title. With continued unity, ambition, and hard work, we believe Margate FC has a bright future.
Chairman Ricky Owen added: “Of course, our aim was to bounce straight back up, and while we fell just short, that doesn’t take away from how proud we are of this group. This young squad will learn and come back even stronger. A huge thank you to everyone involved in this season – players, staff, volunteers, and, of course, our supporters.”
