Margate FC can confirm that promising young midfielder Jack Peters will join SCEFL Premier Division side Whitstable Town on a dual registration basis for the 2025/26 season.
Peters, 20, progressed through the Dartford Academy and joined Margate last season, earning valuable first-team minutes during the closing stages of the campaign. He has continued to impress throughout pre-season, including a strong performance during Tuesday night’s fixture away at Whitstable.
Manager Ben Greenhalgh praised Peters’ development and attitude, saying:
“Jack came in last season and added strength and depth in an important area when we needed it. He showed great commitment, a fantastic attitude, and settled into the squad seamlessly.
We challenged him to push on this pre-season, and he’s absolutely stepped up. His energy in the recent games has been excellent, and he’s already showing real progression from last season. That’s why we believe this move is a great opportunity for him to gain more senior minutes and continue his development.”
Peters himself expressed gratitude for the continued support from the club:
“Ben has been brilliant in giving me the opportunity at Margate, and I’ve really enjoyed my time here so far. I’m grateful for this chance to get more minutes and experience, and I look forward to contributing at Margate again when called upon.”
