Margate make the relatively short trip to Dover on Saturday to face National League South opposition in their final pre-season test.
Dover earned promotion back to the National League South last season after defeating Dartford in the Isthmian Premier Division play-off final, and our visit to the Crabble Stadium will provide a stern examination ahead of the season opener against Jersey Bulls at Hartsdown Park next Saturday, kick-off 1:00pm.

Manager Ben Greenhalgh will again use this final friendly to ensure all squad members get valuable minutes in their legs and are ready for the big kick-off in a week’s time. Harrison Hatfull and Kai Garande will be managed more cautiously after sustaining knocks in Thursday evening’s training session; otherwise, a fully fit squad will be travelling.
Tuesday night’s 1-1 draw with Sutton Athletic at Hartsdown Park gave Greenhalgh the chance to give more minutes across the group. Meanwhile, Dover were edged out 4-3 in a thrilling pre-season contest against Folkestone Invicta.
The sides met last season in a pre-season friendly at HDP, with Saturday’s hosts coming out on top 2-1 on a warm summer evening in Thanet.
