Margate Football Club is pleased to confirm the signing of defender Michael Clark on dual registration from Southern Premier League side Bishop’s Stortford.
The 27-year-old only joined Bishop’s Stortford earlier this summer from St Albans City but now arrives at Hartsdown Park to provide cover in central defence. His arrival comes as Emmanuel Oke remains sidelined through injury, while Lewis Knight is also a potential doubt.
Clark began his career at Leyton Orient, gaining valuable senior experience during loan spells at East Thurrock United. He then moved to Braintree Town before going on to represent Concord Rangers. A significant period followed at St Albans City, where he became a consistent performer over multiple seasons.
Following his departure from St Albans this summer, Clark signed for Bishop’s Stortford, and now links up with the Gate ahead of today’s away fixture at Merstham.
