Margate FC is delighted to announce that its thriving Youth Section — home to 46 teams and hundreds of young players — will now sit fully under the main club structure.
This marks a major milestone in the club’s long-term vision to create a genuine one club mentality, where every player, coach, volunteer, and supporter feels part of the same Margate FC family.
For years, the Youth Section has been one of the most vibrant in Kent, providing football opportunities for children of all ages, from our enthusiastic Mini Gators to our competitive U18’s. Now, by bringing all areas of the club together, Margate is strengthening the pathway from grassroots to senior football and reinforcing a shared culture of teamwork, respect, and community spirit.
As part of this new chapter, we were proud to announce the appointment of Salim Usman as Youth Director two weeks ago. Salim’s experience, energy, and commitment to player development make him the perfect fit to lead the next phase of Margate FC Youth’s journey. Working closely with our senior management team, Salim will oversee all aspects of youth football at the club — ensuring every young player can thrive in a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment.
