After some time without a game and plenty of time to regroup, Margate Women take to the road and travel to Sidcup to take on Glebe in the South East Counties Women’s Football League.
Glebe will be looking for revenge from earlier this season as Margate ran out 4-2 winners at Hartsdown Park to take all three points. Goals from Emily Hall, Michaela Beach and Anna Butova proved too much for the visitors on the day.
The hosts have also had a very quiet period with a month without a game due to two walkovers in the Capital Intermediate Cup and the SECWFL Chairman’s Cup against Leatherhead and Faversham Town respectively.
In their most recent game however, it was a true classic. Glebe were eliminated from the SECWFL League cup against Erith & Belvedere as they were on the wrong end of a 6-5 thriller.
Margate were most recently eliminated from the Kent FA Plate on penalties at Hartsdown Park against Park Regis after a 3-3 draw with goals from Shannon King, Michaela Beach and Rebecca Niblett.
Margate will be without Abbie Greetham as she is recovering from injury and Kelsey Knell who has returned to Ramsgate in the Division One East. This has lead to an another call up for development team player Katie George who will look to put on a good display.
Kick-off in Sidcup is scheduled for 2pm.
