As we approach the festive fixtures and look ahead to the New Year, everyone at Margate Football Club would like to take this opportunity to thank you, our supporters, for your incredible backing throughout 2025.
A New Year gives us the opportunity to not only look ahead, but also reflect on the last 12 months, including a moment to reflect and remember those supporters and people associated to MFC who have sadly passed away in 2025.
This year saw us continue to adapt to life at Step 4 after narrowly missing out on promotion in the play-offs in April. Through it all, your commitment has never wavered. Achieving our highest average attendance for the past nine years speaks volumes about the loyalty, passion and belief that exists within the Margate FC community. It is a clear reminder of how much this club means to so many of you, and it does not go unnoticed by the board, management or players.
The second half of 2025 saw us begin the 2025/26 campaign. We are very aware that this season up to this point, has not reached the standards and expectations we set for ourselves consistently enough. That is something we fully acknowledge. As a collective we are all determined to improve the club all the time. Signing Joe Taylor, along with further additions planned in the coming weeks, is a clear sign of our intent to improve. We are confident we can push forward positively and show the progress you deserve to see – and that we all demand.
Your support, both home and away, in good moments and difficult ones, continues to be a driving force for everyone connected with the club. We thank you sincerely for standing with us and for being such an important part of Margate FC.
