Margate Women return to action after a short Christmas break as they head to Bexley Sports Club to face Parkwood Rangers in the SECWFL League Cup.
The Blues were awarded a walkover in the previous round as Petts Wood were unable to field a team, meaning this will be George Adam’s side first game in the competition.
The ‘Gate are on a run of five games unbeaten in 90 minutes, however they have suffered a penalty defeat in that run of games.
Adams is having to deal with a post-Christmas injury and illness outbreak so his side will be depleted for the journey to fave Parkwood, who now play in the SECWFL Kent Division One Central division after being relegated last season.
Sunday’s hosts currently sit third in their league having taken 13 points from their eight games so far. Rangers are equally on a five game unbeaten run, and come into the game on the back of a convincing 8-1 win over Hollands & Blair before Christmas.
Both sides faced each other last season in the Kent Premier Division with both collecting a win apiece. Both won their home fixture with Parkwood winning 3-2 in Bexley, whilst the Blues won 3-1 in the reverse fixture at Hartsdown Park.
Kick-off at the Bexley Sports Club is scheduled for 3pm.
