Margate F.C. would like to provide an update on the installation of our new scoreboard and, most importantly, to thank our supporters for the remarkable effort that made it possible.
As you know, the funds to purchase the new scoreboard were raised entirely by supporters, with the campaign led by our Supporters Club. The generosity, energy and commitment shown throughout the fundraising drive were truly outstanding and once again demonstrate what a special community we have at Hartsdown Park.
We appreciate that many fans have been eagerly awaiting the scoreboard’s installation and understandably want to know when it will be in place.
The delay has been due to the technical demands involved in installing the scoreboard. Following detailed discussions, the manufacturer has now clarified the specific structural, electrical and connectivity requirements necessary to ensure the system operates safely and effectively.
These requirements are more extensive than first anticipated and include a number of preparatory works that must be completed on site before installation can take place.
With the manufacturer’s specifications now fully confirmed, the Club is now progressing the necessary installation works. These include infrastructure and groundwork elements that must be completed to meet the required standards.
We are moving forward as quickly as possible, while ensuring everything is carried out properly and safely to protect both the equipment and the long-term investment made by supporters.
