Ahead of tonight’s U23’s game against Deal Town, we can confirm that manager Tur Hoxha will take charge for the final time. We would like to share the following message from Tur ahead of this evening’s game.
As my time with the U23’s representing MFC comes to a close after three seasons, I wanted to share a reflection on our journey. We began by winning the league in our first year, followed by a third-place finish in the second season, which also saw us narrowly miss out on the cup after a penalty shootout in the final. This third year, we’re potentially concluding in second place.
Over these three years, we’ve had the privilege of building three distinct and exceptional teams under the guidance of top coaches Salim Usman, Paul Meade, and Chris Mills for the first 2 years and Paul Lamb and Bartek Biegajlo for this season.
My heartfelt congratulations and sincere thanks go out to every player who was part of the U23’s. Your incredible talent, outstanding attitude, unwavering work ethic, and eagerness to learn and grow have been truly inspiring.
We are proud to say we scored over 220 goals for 3 years that is a great achievement on its own. We had the perfect mix of profile players with a couple over 20’s the rest of the squad fom 16 to 19 years of age
90% is been our local boys ex-Margate youth players 10% from different areas
I can honestly say we played the best football in that division for 3 years .
It’s immensely gratifying to see how many of our players have progressed to first-team football elsewhere over the past three years. We’ve also had several individuals involved with our own first team, with others now competing in the SCFL Premier Division 1 and various county leagues at Premier and Division 1 levels.
We are immensely proud of each and every player and their exemplary conduct throughout these three years, as well as their dedication.
I would like to say massive thank you to the club for supporting us for the last three years , special thanks goes to Frankie Empson, Alan Anstice and Ryan Day for helping us with the kits , registration and paper work every week also the social media.
We also would like to say a big thank you to MFC bar staff for looking after us every home game special mentioned to Sasha she has been our number 1 supporter also.
