Margate face Erith Town at Hartsdown Park on Saturday afternoon in their final home game of the 2025/26 season.
With last weekend’s 1-0 victory over VCD Athletic, coupled with Sittingbourne’s defeat, the ‘Gate’s slim play-off hopes remain hanging by a thread as they sit four points outside the top five with two games remaining.
Ben Greenhalgh netted once again as Margate made it seven wins from their last eight games in Crayford, whilst also extending the Blues incredible away form which has seen them lose just once in their last 15 games on the road.
Saturday’s visitors to Hartsdown Park have a battle of their own on their hands, however for very different reasons. An incredible run of just one defeat in their last five games, including last weekend’s 2-1 win against Merstham has moved the Dockers three points clear of the drop zone with just two games remaining.
When the two sides met in November it was a crazy game which saw Margate run out 7-3 winners. A hat-trick from Ibrahim Olutade alongside a brace from Kane Haysman and one each from Greenhalgh and TT Walters secured an impressive away day for the Blues.
Last time these two sides met Hartsdown Park in November 2024, the ‘Gate were held to a frustrating 2-2 draw. Margate’s goals were scored by Brandon Davey and the now departed Max Walsh. In the three previous meetings, Margate have won two and drawn the other.
Supporters are reminded that they can purchase in the club shop their 2026/27 season ticket at this seasons price of £147 for adults and £107 for concessions.
