Margate Women’s Walking Football team are flying out to Portugal next week to play in the International Walking Football Federation endorsed 9th Browns Football Festival.
As the solo British team in the Women’s section they will be representing the UK in a sport the players only took up two years ago. The squad of Faye, Erika, Michelle, Clair, Angie, Amanda and Karen fly out next Wednesday to Faro for the tournament played on the 8th and 9th May against teams from France, Spain and Porttugal who have been established a lot longer.
The teams management are immensely proud of what the team has achieved so far and are sure the women will give a good account of themselves in the quest to bring silverware home to Margate
