Margate Football Club can confirm that Midfielder Sam Blackman has decided to depart the club in search of a new opportunity.
Over different spells at Hartsdown Park, Blackman has made over 150 appearances for the ‘Gate, including time as captain.
Assistant Manager Matt Longhurst was disappointed to be losing a “great servant” ahead of the new campaign.
“We are disappointed to not be able to keep someone like Sam. Ultimately he’s been a great servant for the football club over the last few years and we wish him the best in his future career”.
“We will of course be continuing to rebuild the squad but as we have said we will be patient to add to what is an exciting new group.”
Everyone at Hartsdown Park would like to thank Sam for his contributions at Margate FC and wish him well for his future career.
