Margate make the short journey to The YMS Stadium to face Whitstable Town as they conclude their Bank Holiday weekend.
It was a disappointing start to the long weekend for the ‘Gate as they exited the FA Trophy after a 3-0 away defeat at Ascot United.
In the Isthmian South-East Division so far though the Blues remain unbeaten after three games with two wins and a draw, leaving them third in the table, albeit having played a game more still than some in the division.
The ‘Gate make the journey to Whitstable to face a side that have had a positive start to their first season back in the Isthmian South-East. After winning the title last season, Whitstable won their last game in the league beating Deal Town 3-1 to give them three points from their opening three games.
As well as their league win last time out, the Oysters have also negotiated two wins in the Emirates FA Cup, and also progressed in the FA Trophy with an impressive 3-1 away win at AFC Portchester on Friday evening.
Margate will hope to have Connor Wilkins back in the squad after he missed Friday night with a facial injury, whilst Javaun Splatt is also likely to return after he only managed 45 minutes on Friday evening too.
The ‘Gate will still be without Olu and Lewis Chambers as they continue to recover from injuries. Mal Belboda is likely to be in the squad after he made his return with a 30 minute cameo on Friday night.
History between these two sides stretches back to 1900 when they first met. This will be the two sides first competitive meeting since 2006 when the Blues won 2-1 at The Belmont in an FA Cup clash.
