Margate make the trip to The Green Box Stadium on Saturday afternoon looking to build upon last weekend’s dramatic 2-1 win at home to Eastbourne Town.
The ‘Gate currently sit 5th in the Isthmian South-East Division, however have played at least one more game than those around them in the congested top ten.
Today’s opposition are one of those right on the ‘Gate’s tails. The Nuts and Bolts sit 7th, two points behind the Blues, but with two games in hand.
Craig Stone’s side come into the fixture on the back of a 2-0 away win at Merstham last weekend. Their last fixture at home saw them lose 2-1 against Broadbridge Heath, however they are generally good at home with wins over Steyning Town, Herne Bay and Eastbourne Town already recorded.
Margate manager Jamie Coyle will be able to call upon new signing Toby Bower who joined the Blues on Friday from AFC Croydon Athletic. Striker Javaun Splatt rejoins the squad after time at Snodland Town regaining fitness.
Will Thomas remains suspended, whilst midfielder Olu Oluwatimilehin again picked up a knock at training on Wednesday evening.
Jake McIntyre continues to recover from injury, although ‘Gate fans will see Lewis Chambers named in a squad for the first time this season after he completed two training sessions this week after his hernia operation.
This game at The Green Box Stadium usually produces goals, and plenty of them. In the last three meetings here in league and cup, there have been 16 goals, including a thrilling 3-3 draw last August Bank Holiday.
Margate will play in their blue home kit for this game.
Kick-off is scheduled for 3pm.
