Ratti Makes Blues Move
Margate Football Club can confirm the signing of exciting versatile attacker Roberto Ratti.
24-year old Ratti joins the Blues having spent a part of the 2022/23 season playing in Italy. Ratti is not unfamiliar to football in Kent however, having been with Dover Athletic, Tonbridge Angels and Herne Bay in previous seasons.
Ratti will add versatility to the Blues front-line this season as he can feature anywhere across the front three.
Manager Reece Prestedge was delighted to add Ratti to his new look squad, and says his versatility will be a valuable asset for the ‘Gate this season.
“Roberto is a good age and someone that wants to progress his career. He is valuable to us as he can play anywhere across the front three which you need in this division.”
“Versatility is an asset as it means we can change things around when we have to and that is key throughout a season.”
Assistant Manager Ben Greenhalgh was equally as pleased to add the quality of Ratti to the side for the 2023/24 season.
“It is great to get a player with the attitude of Robi. Fans will love his work ethic and how direct his play is; he is always looking to get on the scoresheet.”
Greenhalgh played alongside Ratti at Tonbridge and he is looking forward to linking up again.
“He was a fans favourite at Tonbridge, especially after putting in a Man of the Match performance against their rivals Maidstone United.”
“He will be an ideal player for us as he can play anywhere across the front three and we hope we can get the best out of him.”
Everyone at Hartsdown Park would like to welcome Roberto to the club.
