Godo Leaves the 'Gate for Fulham Opportunity

Godo Leaves the

After recent speculation, the club can confirm that Martial Godo has left the club to join Championship side Fulham.

Godo dual-registered with the Blues at the start of the season from Dartford Academy and earned himself a space in Jay Saunders side after some key performances, including scoring the winner in the 90th minute at Hartsdown Park in a 2-1 win over Enfield Town in September.

In total, Godo appeared 22 times for the Blues and scored three times.

The club recognises the important role it has played in giving Martial the first team opportunities to develop his skill with us, and believe that yet again this potential move showcases the opportunities that the club gives to young players.

Manager Jay Saunders wished Godo all the best for the future.

“It was a pleasure to work with Martial, and to be able to give him the chance to create this opportunity he has now with Fulham”.

“I know the club are passionate about seeing young players develop and now Martial is further proof that shows we are a club that gives players opportunity and to eventually progress into professional full-time football”.

Everyone at Margate FC would like to wish Martial all the best in this opportunity.
