Margate ladies fine home form continued this week Sunday following up from last week's 7-1 League victory Vs Long Lane the gate were in Kent FA plate action and visitors were Aylesford ladies seconds.

A confident Margate didn't disappoint as they ran out 8-0 winners against a spirited opponent who although play in the league below were proud of their 100% record whilst sitting on top of the division in their 1st season.

Margate's in form strike pairing of Harriet Woolston and Kara Richardson were always going to be a handful and it was Richardson who broke the deadlock on 11mins after good work down the right wing from Nicole Adams(1-0).

The lead was doubled on 25mins,this time a Sandra Nightingale sweet left footed cross from the other wing was despatched by Megan Longden(2-0). Half an hour in and Nic Adam's was unlucky to hit the post after lining up a 35 yard free kick but turned provider again as she placed an inch perfect through ball for Woolston to slot home(3-0).A sweet strike from Grace Phillips-James on the stroke of half time gave the bluebirds a lead of 4 at the break.

Aylesford did create one or two chances themselves but on the rare occasion they got past the back three of Lily Kemp, skipper Becks Slevin or Livvy Godden they came up against the blues stopper Lauren Watson in fine form.

Woolston got her second on the hour after the keeper could only parry a Richardson effort(5-0) and two minutes later the roles reversed as Woolston turned provider for Richardson's 2nd and margates 6th.

Second half replacement Charlie Smalling got on the scoresheet with a fine header straight from an Adam's long throw(7-0) and it was Nic Adam's who finished off the day in the final minute teeing up a 30 yard free kick, this time finding the top corner completing the 8-0 victory and putting the team into the hat for the next round.
