Lewis Knight Extends HDP Stay
The Club is delighted to announce that Defender Lewis Knight will remain at Hartsdown Park for the 2022/23 season.
Knight joined the club last summer making 45 appearances and scoring five goals, including a 90th minute winner at home to Horsham which sparked wild celebrations.
Knight played his role in a defence that led the Blues to 8th in the Isthmian Premier Division and runners up in the Velocity Trophy.
On extending his stay at Hartsdown Park, Knight said, “I am delighted to extend my stay here. I met with Andy Drury and he wants to take the club on to the next level”.
“We enjoyed a good season last year, but ultimately we want to improve on that, and that is why I was keen to stick around and be a part of it”.
Manager Andy Drury was as equally pleased to complete the deal that keeps Knight at Hartsdown Park for another season.
“Lewis is an experienced defender that has shown what he can do at this level and the levels above. I am pleased he has extended his stay with us, and I am also particularly pleased with how the squad is coming along ahead of our first friendly against Glebe”.
Margate face Glebe in Andy Drury’s first game in charge of the club, and supporters can book their FREE tickets for this game by clicking here.
