Ashford United (A) - 23rd August 2024
By Josh Cole
Our league journey continues as we hit the road for our first away game of the season, travelling to Ashford United!
Last time out we kicked off our FA Cup campaign with a 4-0 win against Loxwood! Read the full match report by clicking here.
ABOUT THE OPPOSITION:
Ashford United, also known as 'The Nuts and Bolts', finished last season in 11th place. The club was founded in 1891 and their home stadium is called the Homelands Stadium, which holds a capacity of 3,200 (500 are seated). Their manager is former Gillingham striker, Danny Kedwell, and he has built an exciting team for this season, with Ashford expected to be towards the top of the table come the end of the season. Their home colours are green and white.

Margate assistant manager Adam Flanagan spent last season as assistant manager at Ashford last season. Harvey Brand and Lewis Knight will be looking forward to going back to Ashford this time in Blue and playing at their old ground!
