Sutcliffe To Stay At Hartsdown Park
We are delighted to announce that talented U18’s youth and Academy player Rory Sutcliffe will be staying at Hartsdown Park for the 2023/24 season as he continues to develop his game within a first team set-up.
17-year old Sutcliffe broke into the first team in the 2022/23 season when he featured for the Blues in their 3-0 win over Sheppey United in the DFDS Kent Senior Cup.
Sutcliffe, who plays in an attacking role for the Blues featured once off the bench in the Isthmian Premier League, and featured four times in the ‘Gate’s successful DFDS Kent Senior Cup campaign.
Blues assistant manager Ben Greenhalgh is looking forward to see the exciting attacking player develop his game even further throughout the 2023/24 season.
“Rory has been brilliant since coming into training with and being involved quite heavily in the squads for the second half of the season. He is the perfect example to all other Margate youth players looking to progress within the club, he has worked hard to be in this position, from excelling within the U18’s and academy and proving his worth in a first team environment which has impressed all of the first team players which has really helped him playing a part within the changing room as well!”
“In a difficult time for the club where there was a possibility of relegation we managed to involve five youth players the whole way through and Prez and I are really looking forward to continuing the pathway that we’ve built over the last six months within the youth set-up.”
Everyone at Hartsdown Park is delighted to see Rory back at Hartsdown Park for the 2023/24 season.
