The ‘Gate’s energetic midfielder, Brandon Davey, has been retained and will be returning to the Club for next season!
He joined at the start of last season but was someone that Ben Greenhalgh had kept tabs on for a couple of seasons prior and just waiting for the right moment for him to join Margate!
Davey appeared in 50 games for The ‘Gate and was a pivotal part of our midfield and engine room of the team!
Player/manager, Ben Greenhalgh said: “I’m so glad everyone was able to see what we’ve always known about Brandon, he was always one of the best players to manage at a youth level and we were desperate help him progress and show his capabilities at a club like Margate.”
“Last season was a massive credit to him for how he worked his way into the team and ended up being such an important player for how we played. His relentless effort doesn’t go unnoticed and I’m glad to be able to keep pushing him along in his footballing journey!”
