We are delighted to announce that prominent attacking midfielder, Max Walsh, will be staying with the Club for next season!
Walshy had a huge year in terms of goals, as in 35 games for Margate, he had 12 goals and over the whole season in just over 40 games he had 16 goals and 10 assists.
Towards the end of the season, he was on fire, scoring a hat-trick in 25 minutes on Good Friday against Beckenham and scoring the opener against Ramsgate on Easter Monday!
Player/manager, Ben Greenhalgh, added: “Max was one of few mid season signings, he’s a player I’ve worked with in the youth system but also Flan had worked with him at Ashford.”
“We knew what we were getting with him and he fitted in right away. His goal return speaks for itself and he was a brilliant addition to the squad finishing third top goalscorer after missing the first two months.”
“We’ve had great conversations with Max and he’s on the same wavelength as ourselves and we want to carrying on pushing him forward as he still has much more to give at such a young age!”
