We are pleased to confirm that central-defender, Lewis Knight, has been retained for the 2025/26 campaign!
Knighty played in 39 games for The ‘Gate last season, and on the 2nd of November against Broadbridge Heath he played his 100th game in a Blue shirt!
He played a crucial role in our defence over the entire season but more recently over Easter, Lewis became the captain in Hudson’s absence!
Ben Greenhalgh said: “Lewis really stepped up last season, reaching 100 apps for the club but properly stepping up as one of the leaders. In the games where he was suspended we noticeably missed him in our defence and in the manor in which we played.”
“Keeping consistency again will be massive as will build our defence, we might just have to hold the yellow cards back a bit this season as he will be vital in every game he plays!”
