Tyrone Sterling Departs Margate for New Opportunity in Dubai

Margate Football Club can confirm that First Team Coach Tyrone Sterling has departed the club to pursue an exciting new career opportunity in Dubai.

Sterling, who retired from playing for the Blues in April, returned to Hartsdown Park in a coaching capacity over the summer. Although his time as a coach was brief, he leaves with our full support and best wishes as he embarks on this new chapter.

Reflecting on his time at the club, Sterling said:

“I want to thank everyone at Margate FC — not just for the opportunity to be part of the first team coaching staff this year, but also for my time here as a player. Everyone made me and my family feel welcome, and I truly loved my time at the club.”

Despite relocating to the Middle East, Sterling plans to stay connected with the team throughout the season.

“I’ll be watching all the highlights, staying in the players’ group chat, and cheering the lads on from here.”

Margate Chairman Ricky Owen also shared his appreciation for Sterling’s contributions:

“It was a pleasure having Tyrone around at Hartsdown Park. His personality and presence made a real difference at the club. We wish him all the very best with his new venture in Dubai.”

Everyone at Hartsdown Park thanks Tyrone for his service and wishes him continued success. We look forward to welcoming him back to Margate in the future.
