Margate return to GoCardless Kent Senior Cup action on Tuesday night as they welcome a Charlton Athletic U21s/Development side to Hartsdown Park.
The ‘Gate will be looking to bounce back after a frustrating weekend that saw them narrowly beaten 1-0 at home by AFC Croydon Athletic – a result influenced by some controversial refereeing decisions. That defeat leaves Ben Greenhalgh’s side sitting 9th in the Isthmian South-East table.
Margate booked their place in this round with a solid 2-0 victory over Ramsgate in September, thanks to goals from Ibrahim Olutade and Harry Hudson.

This will be the ninth competitive meeting between Margate and Charlton Athletic, with the last four all coming in this competition.
- The most recent clash came in December 2016, when Charlton edged a 2-1 win.
