Margate Women returned to winning ways with an impressive 4–2 victory over a spirited Chislehurst Glebe side at Hartsdown Park.
The visitors made the brighter start, taking an early lead when a through ball down the left allowed the Glebe striker to fire a powerful shot past Suzie Urban, who got a strong hand to it but couldn’t keep it out.
Margate responded swiftly with Emily Hall. The in-form forward showed superb footwork inside the box before confidently curling her effort across goal and into the top corner to level the score.
That goal settled the hosts, and soon after they went in front through Anna Butova, who struck from a tight angle on the right side of the area after being picked out by Beach. Her high, near-post finish left the Glebe goalkeeper with no chance.
Margate continued to press and extended their advantage before the break. A trademark long delivery from Nicole Adams caused chaos in the Glebe penalty area, and after a spell of pinball, Emily Hall reacted quickest to poke the ball home — continuing her excellent scoring form.
However, Glebe pulled one back before half-time when Kelsey Knell was dispossessed in defence, allowing the visitors to capitalise and reduce the deficit to 3–2 at the interval.
The second half saw Margate restore their two-goal cushion thanks to another fine strike from Butova, who latched onto a clever pass from Beth Miller, rounded the keeper with composure, and slotted into the far corner to complete her brace.
With the score at 4–2, the game became more open but with fewer clear chances. Shannon King came close to adding a fifth with a cross-turned-shot that was clawed off the line by the Glebe keeper.
There was still time for Margate to win a late penalty after a Glebe handball in the box, but the visiting goalkeeper produced a fine save to deny Emily Hall her hat-trick.
Margate managed the closing stages well to secure all three points and a well-deserved victory.

Margate Women are back in SECWFL action next weekend as they travel to Tonbridge Angels at Longmead Stadium. They return to Hartsdown Park on Saturday, 2nd November, when they host Tunbridge Wells Foresters in league action.
