Margate welcome Sussex side Broadbridge Heath to Hartsdown Park on Saturday as they look to extend their five game unbeaten run in the Isthmian South-East Division.
The ‘Gate extended that run last Saturday with a 2-2 draw away in East Sussex against Crowborough Athletic. Margate remain 9th in the division, currently sitting on 22 points from their first 15 games of the season.
Saturday’s visitors to Hartsdown Park sit just one place and one point above the ‘Gate and arrive in decent form having won five of their last six games, including a 5-0 midweek win over East Grinstead.
This will only be the third ever meeting between the two sides, the other two coming last season in the Bears debut season in the division. The ‘Gate took four points from the games with a 2-1 away win in November, before drawing 1-1 at Hartsdown Park in March with a TT Walters effort earning the point for the ‘Gate.
Manager Ben Greenhalgh provided an update midweek on injuries with the ‘Gate still missing Tom Derry, Brandon Davey, Gabriel Duo and Lewis Knight long term.
