Margate travel to The Hassocks Hotel Beacon Ground in Sussex to face Hassocks in their first away game of 2026 on Saturday afternoon.
Ben Greenhalgh’s side will be looking to put a difficult run of form behind them which has seen just one win in five games, a 3-1 away win at Herne Bay on December 27th. Before that the ‘Gate had suffered three straight defeats, and followed the win at Herne Bay with a disappointing 4-2 home defeat to Ashford United to start 2026.
Saturdays hosts are new to the division having won promotion last season, and this will be the first ever meeting between the two sides. Hassocks have endured a difficult first half of the season and currently sit just one place outside of the drop zone having collected 23 points from their opening 25 games.
Hassocks are currently on a 12 game winless run, their last victory coming back in October when they beat Broadbridge Heath 2-1 at The Beacon Ground.
Margate will be without the suspended Harry Hudson who will serve a two game ban after collecting ten yellow cards this season, whilst there are doubts over Lewis Knight after he departed after 30 minutes last week with an ankle injury.
Kick-off at The Hassocks Hotel Beacon Ground is scheduled for 3pm.
Entrance to the Hassocks Hotel Beacon Ground for a first team match day costs £10 for Adults and £6 for Seniors. Children under the age of 16 go free. Printed match day programmes are available at £2
