Margate Football Club are pleased to announce the signing of experienced defender Jake McIntyre from Whitstable Town.
McIntyre was Whitstable Town captain who lifted the FA Vase at Wembley in May 2025. The left sided centre-half has enjoyed spells at Ramsgate, Ashford United, Faversham Town and Sheppey United. He began his career in the Dartford FC Academy.
Assistant Manager Matt Longhurst admits that bringing Jake to Hartsdown Park was an obvious choice.
“Jake is someone that I have worked with at several of his other clubs. He is another leader on and off the pitch, is a tough tackling centre-half that wears his heart on a sleeve”.
“I know the Margate fans love seeing players like Jake who will give everything for the badge and I know he will be a fans favourite here at Hartsdown Park”.
Everyone at Margate FC would like to welcome Jake to Hartsdown Park ahead of the 2026/27 season.
