Ibrahim Olutade To Depart Hartsdown Park

Margate Football Club is disappointed to announce that striker Ibrahim Olutade has decided to leave Hartsdown Park this summer.

The prolific striker leaves the club having scored over 50 goals for the Blues in his two seasons on the Kent coast, however departs for an opportunity closer to his home.

Olutade had the following message about his departure.

“I would like to thank everyone at Margate FC for their support over the past two seasons. This has genuinely been one of the hardest decisions in my football career, however the opportunity to play home games on my doorstep was one I couldn’t turn down, especially with a young family to support”.

“The fans have been incredible towards me during my time at Hartsdown Park and I hope nothing but the best for everyone connected to the Club”.

Assistant Manager Matt Longhurst was disappointed to lose Ibz, but understands the reasons behind the decision.

“Ibz has been incredible for this football club and we left no stone unturned to try and keep him around, but he has a young family and the opportunity to play on his doorstep was one he couldn’t refuse at this moment in time”.

“I know all our supporters will b e disappointed to hear that he is leaving, however we are working hard to bring a new squad together for the next exciting chapter of this football club”.

Everyone at Margate FC would like to thank Ibz for his incredible contribution at Hartsdown Park and wish him well for his future career.
