Margate begin a new chapter on Saturday as they welcome National League South side Dover Athletic to Hartsdown Park in what will be new Manager Jamie Coyles first game in charge.
It has been a summer of change with a new management team and a new squad of players in place ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Coyle’s new look Margate will include the majority of this summers new signings, whilst some trialists are also set to feature for the ‘Gate. Dover Athletic have also undergone a summer of change having lost some key players, however the Whites are still managed by former Margate Midfielder Jake Leberl.
This will be both sides first pre-season fixture ahead of the 2026/27 season. The meeting has become a tradition of late, with the ‘Gate visiting The Crabble Stadium last pre-season and losing 3-1 in their final pre-season warm up game. Margate’s goal that day was scored by Max Walsh.
Kick-off at Hartsdown Park is scheduled for 3pm with the gates open from 1:30pm.
