We are delighted to announce the arrival of two new signings ahead of this weekends league fixture at Hartsdown Park.
Firstly, we are pleased to welcome prolific striker Oghosa Williams from National League South side Whitehawk.
21-year old Williams joins the ‘Gate having netted 40 goals in all competitions last season for AFC Greenwich Borough, before moving to Whitehawk this summer.
The pacey striker is well known to ‘Gate manager Jamie Coyle who saw him come through the Academy at Welling United.
“Oghosa scored 40 goals in all competitions last season for Greenwich Borough and has naturally attracted attention from a number of clubs at higher levels”.
“I have seen Oghosa develop over the last two seasons whilst he was playing in Welling United’s Academy and he is a perfect fit for the group both on and off the pitch”.
We can also confirm the signing of 18-year old George Brooke from Cray Wanderers. The versatile midfielder can play across the middle or at full-back. Brooke has developed through the Cray Wanderers youth sides, spending some time on loan at Ashford United and Erith Town.
Coyle was pleased to add Brooke to the squad ahead of the Crowborough game.
“George is an energetic midfielder who can also play wide and at full back and is another exciting young player joining us from a higher level”.
“With the way we want to play we need players to be able to play in a number of positions and bring certain qualities and George ticks those boxes , there is lots for us to add to George’s game but he’s an exciting young player I’m looking forward to working with him”.
We can also confirm that striker Norman Wano has departed Hartsdown Park. Wabo returned this summer having spent a brief spell at the club prior to COVID-19, however he now departs in search of further gametime elsewhere.
We would like to thank Norman for his time at the club and wish him well for the future.
