Margate welcome Crowborough Athletic to Hartsdown Park on Saturday for our opening game of the 2026/27 season at home.
Last weekend saw the Blues open with a solid point away at recently relegated Cray Valley (PM), despite playing the last 25 minutes with 10 men after new signing Gibou Njie was sent off for two yellow cards.
Whilst the Blues were kick-starting their league campaign, Saturday’s opposition were starting their FA Cup journey with a extra-preliminary round tie away at Guernsey, which they won 5-0 to seal a place in the Preliminary Round.
In the two fixtures played against each other last season, Margate failed to win any after drawing 2-2 at Crowborough in November, before being beaten 3-1 at Hartsdown Park in February.
Margate will be without Njie who will serve a one game suspension for his red card last week, whilst doubts remain over the fitness of Jake McIntyre who continues to recover from injury whilst Olu remains sidelined and could still be about a week away from returning.
New ‘Gate signings Oghosa Williams and George Brooke could make their debuts at Hartsdown Park after joining from Whitehawk and Cray Wanderers respectively.
The first 100 supporters (over 18-years old) will receive a free pint of Tidal Pool tomorrow thanks to match sponsors Northdown Brewery, whilst all our inflatables will be available to use on our five-a-side pitches.
Gates open at 1:30pm
