It is with profound sadness that we share the heartbreaking news that former Margate Youth player RJ Anderson tragically lost his life in an accident this week.
RJ was, and always will be, part of the Margate FC family.
He grew up wearing the Margate shirt, representing our youth section throughout the age groups.
For many of our coaches, players and families, RJ will be remembered as much more than a footballer, a kind, hardworking person.
Football clubs are about so much more than what happens on the pitch. They are communities and families, and losing someone who has been part of that journey is incredibly difficult.
Everyone connected with Margate FC sends their love, thoughts and deepest condolences to RJ’s family, friends, former teammates and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
